Cheerleading Information Continued:
Due to the recent levy failure, many rumors have collected about the possibilities of the cancellation of Nordonia middle school cheerleading. We welcome Nordonia and Twinsburg middle school girls to come join our team.
We are also raising the age from 6 to 7. Collectively, we have found that we are spending too much time on potty breaks, zoning out, and wandering off due to girls just not being mature enough to endure the disciplines of cheerleading. We understand that cheerleading is recreational. However, it is also a sport that has standards, rules, and disciplines that need to be followed. Moreover, we feel that older cheerleaders' practices are hindered due to these many stop-and-go distractions. We just want to ensure the success of all that are involved.
However, if you feel that your 6 year old daughter is mature and ready, we encourage you to join our cheerleading coaching and co-coaching staff. This is the only exception we are making to the new age requirement policy. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you, but we are thrilled and excited about the upcoming season.
Tumbling Policy:
Our insurance company forbids lifts, pyramids, tumbling or any move that could injure a cheerleader. (This includes any fooling around during practice and/or breaks.)
